Local Martial Arts School Owner Knighted into Prestigious Order of the Redeemer

Santiago Del Teide, Spain – 5/9/2024— In a ceremony filled with tradition and prestige, Grandmaster Timothy Harrison, owner of TM Martial Arts Academy, was knighted into the illustrious Order of the Redeemer the weekend of May 3-5, 2024. This momentous occasion took place in the scenic town of Santiago Del Teide, Spain, marking a significant milestone in Grandmaster Harrison’s distinguished career.

The Order of the Redeemer, known for its rigorous selection process, honors individuals who have demonstrated exceptional service and achievement across various fields, including the arts, culture, and societal contributions. As one of the few to receive this exclusive distinction, Grandmaster Harrison underwent meticulous scrutiny by a discerning committee, which evaluates candidates based on their unwavering commitment to noble causes and the betterment of humanity.

Grandmaster Harrison’s journey to this accolade is built on a foundation of unparalleled dedication to excellence in martial arts and a profound impact on community and philanthropic endeavors. His contributions have not only shaped the landscape of martial arts education but have also left an indelible mark on community service and cultural enrichment.

The Order of the Redeemer was established in 1608 by Vincent IV Gonzaga, Duke of Mantua. It was founded in honor of his son’s marriage to Princess Marguerite of Savoy. The Knights of the Order were charged with defending the dignity of the Pope and Catholicism. They were also meant to protect the honor of Ladies, widows, and orphans. It was discontinued in 1708, following the death of Ferinando Gonzaga, Duke of Mantua. After a failed attempt to revive the Order in 1847, the Order was awarded as a Dynastic Order of the House of Gonzaga-Vescovato. By then, the Order was composed of the Grand Cross, Grand Officer, Commander, Officer, and Knight classes. The Order is known with two different designs. The first design showed the device of the melting pot surrounded by flames where some golden bars were being melted. The second design, and the most known, showed two angels holding a reliquary with three drops of Christ’s blood in it. The Order is also known as the Order of the Blood of Jesus Christ, and the Order of Redemption.

In addition to his knighthood, Grandmaster Harrison was also honored with the Spartan Hall of Warrior’s Diamond Award, a testament to his formidable achievements and his visionary leadership in the martial arts world.

“This honor is not only a personal achievement but a recognition of the values that TM Martial Arts Academy stands for,” said Grandmaster Harrison. “I am deeply grateful for this knighthood and I hope to continue inspiring others to pursue excellence and make a positive impact on society.”

The TM Martial Arts Academy community and its supporters celebrate Grandmaster Harrison’s achievements, which continue to inspire students and peers alike. His story is a beacon of dedication and excellence, motivating others to strive for their highest potential in all aspects of life.
