These guidelines are designed to create a positive environment where everyone can learn and grow together. These tips will help you get the most our of your FREE 2-Week Trial Program:

Fostering a Respectful Community…

  1. Arrive Early and Prepared: Please try to arrive a few minutes early to class so that you’re ready to start at the scheduled time. This shows respect for your fellow classmates and instructors and helps us kick off class smoothly.
  2. Uniform Etiquette: During your trial program you will have the opportunity to earn your white belt! Wear this to every class, along with a tshirt and athletic pants. Upon enrollment, you will be issued an official uniform. Our students are asked to always wear a clean and pressed uniform to class. This not only shows respect for the art but also for your fellow classmates. Plus, it’s a small gesture that shows you’re serious about your training!
  3. Use Words of Respect: In our dojang, we value respect above all else. Please remember to use words your magic words of Respect, such as “Yes sir,” “Yes ma’am,” “Please,” “Thank you,” and “You’re welcome” when interacting with instructors and classmates. This creates a positive atmosphere for everyone.
  4. Bow Before Entering and Leaving the Mat: Before stepping on and off the training mat, take a moment to bow. This is a sign of respect for the space, the art, and your fellow practitioners. It sets the tone for a focused and disciplined practice. We will show you how to do this during your FREE 2-Week Trial Program.
  5. Encourage Your Fellow Classmates: We’re all on this journey together, and encouragement can go a long way. Our instructors are intentional about highlighting students in class. But you can encourage others too! Whether it’s a high-five after a good drill or a word of support during a tough session, let’s lift each other up and help each other grow.
  6. Display Your Best Effort: Lastly, please give your best effort in class. Not only does this help you improve, but it also ensures that you’re not disrupting the learning experience of others. Let’s all strive to be good training partners and classmates.

By keeping these simple guidelines in mind, we can all help create a culture that’s welcoming and positive for everyone. We invite you to schedule a free class to experience firsthand what TM Martial Arts has to offer. Thank you for considering TM Martial Arts Academy, and we look forward to training with you soon!
